Red Hill is one of the more prominent peaks in the Lakes Region. This broad, flat-topped ridge seemingly bursts out of the ground at its base. Mt. Major: Boulder Loop and Brook Trail

A must-stop for anyone hiking in New Hampshire, Mt. Major provides an awe-inspiring look at Lake Winnipesaukee and other nearby mountains. Ascending from the Boulder Loop Trail, you’ll quickly cross two wooden bridges. The start of the trail is somewhat timid, but soon enough, it will become much steeper and possibly slippery when wet. This four-mile loop will take you through Mt. Major State Park and connects to Mt. Major Trail that runs almost right through the middle of the main pathway.
